This is my go-to marinade for any type of steak.
Really simple but also really effective to add some extra flavour to your steak.
I've used a few of my favourite hard herbs, like rosemary, thyme and some garlic.
Classic Italian flavours!
INGREDIENTS (serve 2 ppl):
2 Beef steaks
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
4 garlic cloves, lightly crushed
2 tablespoon rosemary leaves
2 tablespoon thyme leaves
2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt
Black pepper, ground
METHOD
Start with heavily seasoning your steaks with salt, ground black pepper on both sides and set them aside onto a large plate.
In a bowl, add all the ingredients for the marinade and stir to combine.
Pour the marinade on top of the steaks making sure that they are well coated.
Marinate for 20 minutes at room temperature.
Cook the steaks to your preferred doneness level.
When cooked and well rested, slice the steaks, serve them and top them with some of the marinade.
